Course Overview
The Certificate II in ESI - Asset Inspection (UET20619) provides the skills and knowledge to work in the electricity supply industry (ESI) as an Asset Inspector. This qualification covers safely complying with relevant legislation, industry standards, codes of practice or other related requirements while inspecting and reporting on the status of distribution assets, including poles and structures, cables, overhead conductors, public lighting, security fencing and gates, insulators and transformers. It includes minor maintenance and weed control.
To participate you need to be employed by an enterprise who provides Asset Inspection services to state-based power utilities. These utilities are responsible for maintaining electricity distribution and transmission network infrastructure, in accordance with the requirements of state and federal Energy Regulators and other legislative bodies. Upon successful completion of all components of the Recognition of Prior Learning pathway you will be awarded the Certificate II in ESI - Asset Inspection (UET20621).
